Are you interested in keeping your son or daughter's soccer skills sharp and improving them over the Winter? A Futsal (Indoor Soccer) program is being offered this Winter and is open to players ages 6 to 19.

8U - Thursday evenings 6:00pm to 7:30pm
10U - Monday evenings 6:00pm to 7:30pm
14U - Monday evenings 7:30pm to 9:00pm
19U - Thursday evenings 7:30pm to 9:00pm
Start times and end times may be pushed back 30 mins

This is a developmental program where coaches provide direction using Coerver Methods and Small Sided games, encouraging personal creativity in a low pressure coaching environment. We will primarily let the game be the teacher. This is an opportunity for the motivated player to have fun while continuing to develop their foot skills, learn ball control and team work.

Learn and demonstrate the techniques and ability to be able to play quick and work your way out of tight spaces with great ball skill. Futsal is soccer played with a unique Futsal Ball (heavier low bounce ball) designed to help players focus on technical ability. The games are fast high energy events with lots of touches, passing and shooting. The kids get a great workout.

Indoor Soccer will be held at Bethel Elementary School. Cost is $95 per player. Program runs thru February. Actual dates and times to be determined as we will share the gym with Basketball.

How Does The Program Work?

Each night, players will train together learning ball mastery skills.  The nice smooth surface of a gym floor allows a player to work on foot skills without the interference of bumps or holes normally found on exterior field surfaces.  And when a player has time to gain confidence using a skill, they are more likely to use it. 

After training, players will be divided up into teams, balanced as much as possible and games will begin.  Typically, a player will play 3 to 5 games a night.  Team size depends on the number of participants, but we plan on a minimum of 3 v 3 without a keeper or 4v4 or 5v5 with keeper.  Games have 8 to 10 minute running clock and are fast and intense.  And some evenings, we will even play a round robin style tournament.

Sessions normally last an hour to an hour and a half at most.  The season is adjusted to how many players we have and how much gym time we are allowed.  We will share the gym with a basketball program.
